COMPLIANCETMATE HELP

The following information is a “How To” guide to initially step you through how to go about entering your compliance data once you have logged on.

Mass Management “How To” guide:

1. Set Up

2. Record Load Information

1. Set Up

With a few simple steps ComplianceMate can be set up to accurately record, track and report against all your Mass Management (MM).

It is noted that weights must be recorded in tonnes (eg 21.3456) and not kilograms

There are 2 key areas that affect your ability to record accurate MM information:

  1. Maximum Load Limit

  2. Axle Load Limit

Maximum Load Limit is the total allowable weight across the entire load. This is determined by a combination of Road Class and Vehicle Configuration and can be set up as follows:

a) In the Utilities Menu use the Vehicle Configuration to describe the different type of vehicle configurations you will be using eg. B-double, Single, Road Train etc.

b) Now go to the Road Classes option in Utilities Menu. Here you should create an entry for each Road Class/Vehicle Configuration combination you will be using. You can create multiple entries with the same Road Class name but a different Vehicle Configuration. This is where you can enter the Maximum Load Limit for this particular combination in Tonnes. (eg 23.2345)

Axle Load Limit is the total allowable weight (in tonnes) across an individual axle. These weight limits can be set up simply in both the Vehicles and Trailers options of the File Menu.

a) For Vehicles go to the Other tab and enter Max Weight Axle Group1 and Max Weight Axle Group 2.

b) For Trailers go to the Genera Cont. tab and enter Max Weight Axle Group1 and Max Weight Axle Group 2.

NOTE: If the trailer is a Tri-axle be sure to use the tick box provided. There are specific weight regulations regarding Tri-Axles which ComplianceMate will automatically take into account when calculating Load Limits

2. Record Load Information

 /_edit/Compliancemate_files/LOAD_WEIGHT_HR.JPG

Specific load information can be recorded quickly and easily for Mass Management (MM) purposes using the Mass Management option found under the Compliance Entry menu of your ComplianceMate system.

There are 4 key elements that you will need in order to record this information accurately:

  1. Vehicle Configuration - together with Road Class will determine you Max Load Limit

  2. Road Class - together with Vehicle Configuration will determine you Max Load Limit

  3. Vehicle - drops Axle Load Limit into the grid box at the bottom of the screen

  4. Trailers - drops Axle Load Limit into the grid box at the bottom of the screen
*to add or remove Trailers simply right click on the Trailer Grid

There are 2 additional elements associated with MM that can be recorded on this screen:

  1. Weighing Technique - Air Bags, Scales, Weight Bridge
*in order to VERIFY Axle Load Weights for Compliance purposes a Weigh Bridge Number must be entered

  1. Deviation from Verified Route * for Compliance purposes any deviation from the approved Travel Plan must be recorded here

Additional information such as Plan Code/Route, Departure Time/Date, Contractor/Driver can be entered on here as well. Although this information may not be a direct requirement for MM, including it will greatly assist you in 2 ways:

  1. Compliance Reporting - when you report against your MM information you can filter by specific information eg. How many times has there been a MM issue for a specific Driver or on a specific Route

  1. Linking - (see Linking How To Guide)

Once you have entered all your initial information (or brought it across by Linking to an existing record) you can enter the Load Weights recorded by the driver. There are 2 ways to do this:

  1. Axle Weights - simply enter all the individual weights across each Axle into the Load Weight Column of the Axle Weights Grid. If the Load Weight entered exceeds the Max Load Weight for that Axle Group a warning message will appear to indicate a Non Compliance. Next press the Calculate Button to get a Total Weight for the load. If the Total Weight entered exceeds the Max Load Limit a warning message will appear to indicate a Non Compliance (All Non Compliances are archived for the MM Report)

  1. Total Weight - if you do not have a complete record of Axle Weight information you can edit the Total Weight directly by simply entering an amount into the Total Weight field below the Axle Weight Grid (you must be in edit mode to do this)

Verification is the last step in completing you MM recording process. In order to verify Axle Load Weights for Compliance purposes a Weigh Bridge Number must be entered next to the Weigh Bridge

tick box

(you must be in edit mode to do this). To verify a Load Weight simply tick the Verified tick box next to the appropriate Load Weight in the Axle Weights Grid. If any Load Weights are left unverified a Non Compliance will be recorded (All Non Compliances are archived for the MM Report). In this case no warning message will appear.
