Route Codes are the foundation stones for a well constructed Fatigue Management System within the ComplianceMate framework. A Route Code represents a travel route that your driver/contractors take on a regular basic when moving your freight. A well thought out set of Route Codes will allow you to create Plans that manage you driver/contractors movements quickly and reliably.

There are 4 key elements that affect your ability to quickly create accurate and reliable Route Codes:

  1. Distance

  2. Average Klm’s Per Hr

  3. Load and Unload Times

  4. Required Breaks

ComplianceMate needs these details to determine how long your Trip is estimated to take. This information will help you create meaningful and compliant Fatigue Trip Plans quickly and easily.

All you need do is enter the Distance, Ave. Klms @Hr, Loading Time and Unload Timing into the fields supplied in the Routes option under the File menu. Save this information and use the Time Line button at the top right of the Breaks Grid on the left of screen (see Time Line How To Guide)

You can also right click to add/edit/delete breaks in the Breaks Grid.

NOTE: that all the arrivals and departures are highlighted in blue and are denoted by a 'D' for Departures and an 'A' fro Arrivals.

TIP: To make you Trip Time more accurate, be as precise as possible with you Distance (take some Odometer readings from your trucks) and tweak your Ave Klms @Hr up or down to shorten or lengthen the Drive Time.

*Distance divided by Ave. Klms @Hr gives you the total Drive Time of the trip NOT including Breaks and Load/Unload times.

You can check your Route Codes for Fatigue System Violations at any time during the planning process (see Check Violations 'How to' Guide)
